There is a difference in the two. Some experts argue that marine coral calcium has a near perfect 2:1 magnesium to calcium ratio. They claim this is a natural ratio and this is why marine coral calcium is better than above sea coral calcium.
While this may be true, magnesium is added to coral calcium that is manufactured above sea. One thing marine coral calcium experts don't mention is that Japanese fisherman dump sionide into the ocean which can get into the reefs. Because of this and many other factors marine coral calcium must be treated above 1000 degrees and this process destroys certain trace minerals.
